SHANGHAI, Jul. 6 (SMM) – Inbound shipments of iron ore to the Port of Lianyungang hit a new record high, jschina.com.cn reported.
During the first half of 2016, iron ore imports to the port in Jiangsu Province reached 32 million tonnes, up 57.63 per cent, the highest in its history, according to the report.
Such high imports are due mainly to demand improvement after steel prices rose and higher handling capacity, the report explained.
