E-Waste recycling event to benefit American Heart Association

Bakersfield Heart Hospital is teaming up with Alianza Recycling & Recovery to host a free drive-through electronic waste recycling event Saturday, July 9.

SPOKANE (Scrap Monster):  Bakersfield Heart Hospital is teaming up with Alianza Recycling & Recovery to host a free drive-through electronic waste recycling event Saturday, July 9.  It will be in the parking lot of Bakersfield Heart Hospital starting at 9:00 a.m. 

Alianza Recycling will collect items such as television sets, computers, monitors, desktop printers, VCR's and DVDs, cable boxes, laptops, cell phones, computer gaming systems, camera equipment, car batteries, rechargeable batteries, small household appliances, medical equipment and industrial copiers.  

They will not accept kitchen appliances, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and alkaline batteries.  Signs and volunteers will direct drivers to the collection areas in the parking lot.  

Businesses looking to contributed to the event but are unavailable can schedule a pickup at 873-4011.
