SHANGHAI, Jul. 1 (SMM) – The National Statistics Institute reported Mexican copper output rose over 5% year-on-year in April to 41,447 tonnes, wenhua.com reports.
The country’s zinc production fell 34.1% while lead output slid 17% year-on-year.
Gold and silver production slid 7.8% and 2.8% year-on-year, respectively, to 8,328 kg and 383,248 kg.
Domestic gold and silver output is expected to fall this year, and copper output is anticipated to remain flat due to low metal prices.
