Lead Ore Imports to China Manzhouli Port Grow in Jan.-May

SHANGHAI, Jun. 29 (SMM) – The Port of Manzhouli in China imported 72,000 tonnes of lead ore YTD through May, up 32% year-on-year, Manzhouli Customs reported.

Inbound shipments contributed by private enterprises were 48,000 tonnes at the port during January-May, falling 9.3% and accounting for 67.4% in total imports. Those contributed by SOEs totaled 24,000 tonnes, up 21.3-folds.

Henan-based enterprises imported 45,000 tonnes through the port, surging 5.3-folds, the top import province, versus 20,000 tonnes by importers from Inner Mongolia and 7,000 tonnes by importers from Shanghai.
