SHFE Copper Closes Up (Jun. 28 , 2016)

SHANGHAI, Jun. 28  (SMM) – Last night, SHFE 1608 copper opened lower at RMB 36,520/mt and advanced to RMB 36,700/mt. The contract ended at RMB 36,520/mt, up RMB 120/mt. Positions were down 1,228. 

On Tuesday, SHFE 1608 copper started lower at RMB 36,560/mt and sank to RMB 36,430/mt. The contract rallied to RMB 37,250/mt and finally closed at RMB 37,190/mt, up RMB 440/mt. Positions were down 12,910. Positions of all SHFE copper contracts grew 15,328 to 640,000 with trading volumes at 740,000 lots. Positions were up 23,398 for SHFE 1609 copper.
