SHANGHAI, Jun. 23 (SMM) – Chalco and Baosteel Group signed a cooperation framework agreement on June 17 over automotive aluminum sheet, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA) said on its website.
According to the agreement, both sides will establish a joint venture in the future to jointly develop, produce and sell automotive aluminum sheet.
The move will be a win-win for Chalco, which has strong technical strength and rich experience in precision aluminum plate/sheet, strip production, and Baosteel Group, which enjoys big market share in high-end automotive steel sheet.
