Hebei to Take Strict Measures in Controlling Steel Capacity, Government Reports

SHANGHAI, Jun. 22 (SMM) – The People's Government of Hebei Province said to strictly control new steel capacity, according to its article published in local paper.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, all steel capacity in Zhangjiakou, Baoding and Langfang will be required to be withdrew, and 50% of steel capacity in Qinhuangdao and Chengde will also exit the market in principle. Steel mills in other cities or neighboring areas will be also required to withdraw gradually or move to industrial parks or coastal areas.
