SHANGHAI, Jun. 22 (SMM) –China’s National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC) will hold a meeting this afternoon to discuss matters concerning rare earth stockpiling by the State Reserve Bureau (SRB), SMM has learned.
The meeting will include two agendas: confirm list of companies that will participate in bid invitation by the SRB; pricing over rare earth oxides to be bought by the SRB.
It’s worth noting that this round of meeting will be held by the NDRC instead of the SRB and meeting attendants will be high-ranking executives of six large rare earth groups. The changes indicate great importance attached to of this round of meeting, SMM understands.
