SHANGHAI, Jun. 13 (SMM) – China produced 70.50 million tonnes of crude steel during May, according to latest data from National Bureau of Statistics.
The output grew 1.6 per cent and 0.8 per cent on a monthly and yearly basis respectively, but its daily output fell 1.7 per cent from April’s, according to the data.
Over the same month, pig Iron output was 60.65 million tonnes, up 3.8 per cent month-on-month, and 1.9 per cent year-on-year. China’s finished steel production was 99.46 million tonnes, up 2.9 per cent month-on-month, and up 1.0 per cent year-on-year.
