SHFE 1609 nickel started at RMB 69,120/mt overnight.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 7 (SMM) – SHFE 1609 nickel started at RMB 69,120/mt overnight and ranged RMB 69,000-69,500/mt. The contract later dived to RMB 68,840/mt, to close at RMB 68,910/mt.

SHFE 1609 nickel opened at RMB 69,040/mt on Tuesday and then sank to RMB 68,490/mt. In the afternoon, the contract ranged RMB 68,600-68,800/mt before ending at RMB 68,780/mt, gaining 0.53%. Trading volumes dropped 173,000 to 717,000 lots and positions were down 19,550 to 633,000.
