Base Metals to Continue Diverging, with Eyes on Non-Farm Payrolls, SMM Says

SHFE base metals prices will continue diverging from each other today, SMM foresees.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 3 (SMM) –SHFE base metals prices will continue diverging from each other today, SMM foresees.

Base metals have shown signs of stabilizing or strengthening, but market should not neglect downward pressure from expectations for US rate hike, SMM added.   

Key Macroeconomic Indicators for Base Metal Prices (2016-6-3)

Copper: 35,150-35,550 yuan per tonne

Aluminum: 11,980-12,180 yuan per tonne

Lead: 12,700-12,850 yuan per tonne

Zinc: 15,400-15,600 yuan per tonne

Tin: 107,000-108,000 yuan per tonne

Nickel: 66,800-68,200 yuan per tonne
