Australia has overtaken South Africa as top manganese ore supplier to China, customs data showed.

SHANGHAI, May 26 (SMM) – Australia has overtaken South Africa as top manganese ore supplier to China, customs data showed.

China imported 384,438 tonnes of manganese ore from Australia in April, followed by 331,651 tonnes from South Africa.

China’s manganese ore imports totaled 1.35 million tonnes in April, up significantly from 988,348 tonnes in March.
