SHFE Zinc Prices Closed down (2016-5-23)

SHFE 1607 zinc opened at RMB 15,070/mt last evening.

SHANGHAI, May 23 (SMM) – SHFE 1607 zinc opened at RMB 15,070/mt last evening, and closed at RMB 14,950/mt, up RMB 30/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1607 zinc were 158,000, and positions decreased 3,364 to 158,000.

SHFE 1607 zinc fell to RMB 14,850/mt after opening today. Dragged down by ferrous metals, SHFE 1607 zinc dipped to RMB 14,740/mt, and closed at RMB 14,825/mt, down RMB 95/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1607 zinc increased 137,000 to 386,000, and positions decreased 7,088 to 155,000.
