SHFE 1609 nickel started at RMB 68,580/mt overnight and once advanced to RMB 69,170/mt.

SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) – SHFE 1609 nickel started at RMB 68,580/mt overnight and once advanced to RMB 69,170/mt. The contract later ranged RMB 68,600-69,000/mt before closing at RMB 68,890/mt.

SHFE 1609 nickel opened at RMB 68,700/mt on Thursday and then moved between RMB 68,400-68,800/mt before ending at RMB 68,430/mt, down 0.25%. Trading volumes were down 197,000 to 610,000 lots and positions were up 3,512 to 623,000.
