SHANGHAI, May 17 (SMM) – China’s crude steel output fell 1.7 per cent on a monthly basis in April, according to data from National Bureau of Statistics, Shanghai Metals Market reports.
In April, China produced 69.42 million tonnes of crude steel, down 1.7 per cent month-on-month, but up 0.7 per cent year-on-year, and daily output, however, was up 1.5 per cent on a monthly basis, according to the data.
In April, China’s pig Iron output was 58.42 million tonnes, down 3.0 per cent month-on-month and 3.0 per cent year-on-year. China’s finished steel production was 96.68 million tonnes, down 2.6 per cent month-on-month but up 0.3 per cent year-on-year.
