India to Impose Safeguard Tax on Unwrought Aluminum Imports

India has decided to impose safeguard tax on imported unwrought aluminum.

SHANGHAI, May 12 (SMM) – India has decided to impose safeguard tax on imported unwrought aluminum after preliminary determinations showed growing imports of such products have caused severe injury and threat to domestic industry, according to the website of China’s Ministry of Commerce. 

All products under India’s customs code 7601 shall be subject to 5% safeguard tax for 200 days.
