China Sees Increases in Nickel Ore Inventories, SMM Reports

SHANGHAI, May 9 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories rose at seven major Chinese ports last week, according to survey by Shanghai Metals Market.

“The increase in port inventories is due mainly to concentrated arrivals of new shipments at the beginning of month,” SMM nickel analyst says. 

According to SMM data, nickel ore inventories at seven major Chinese ports were up 170,000 tonnes last week.
