LME Zinc to Face Pressure Next Week

LME zinc prices should fluctuate between $1,820-1,880 per tonne next week, SMM says.

SHANGHAI, May 6 (SMM) - LME zinc prices should fluctuate between $1,820-1,880 per tonne next week, SMM says.

The US dollar index is expected to rise, weighing on base metals, SMM explains. But LME zinc will see weaker selling pressure compared with copper and nickel due to better fundamentals.

July zinc on the SHFE will move between 14,500-15,000 yuan per tonne, SMM added. Spot zinc will trade 50 yuan below or 30 yuan above July zinc.
