China Aluminum Alloy Wheel Exports Fall in March

China’s aluminum alloy wheel exports fell in March, but grew in Q1.

SHANGHAI, May 6 (SMM) –China’s aluminum alloy wheel exports fell in March, but grew in Q1.

Outbound shipments totaled 57,400 tonnes or $286 million in March, down 9.5% and 9.3%, respectively, from a year ago, data from the CAAM showed. 

Exports totaled 188,200 tonnes or $945 million in Q1, up 6.9% and 5.6% respectively, from a year ago.  

The US remained the top export destination –56.46% of China’s total export value, during Q1, followed by Japan and Mexico.
