SHANGHAI, May 5 (SMM) – Chinese aluminum smelters have reported better profit from rising aluminum prices, but power costs remains the biggest concern for them right now, SMM learns.
Many smelters told SMM that negotiations with power plants over preferential power tariffs are still dragging on.
In fact, some smelters have expressed worries that this year’s preferential power tariffs might be higher than last year.
