SHANGHAI, May 3 (SMM) – China exported 15.87 million pieces of lead-acid batteries in March, up 34.95% MoM and 26.90% YoY, according to Customs data.
Of the exports, ignition battery claimed 1.46 million pieces, increasing 17.24% MoM and 44.58% YoY, and other type of batteries accounted for 14.4 million pieces, up 37.04% MoM and 25.35% YoY. Total exports came in at 49.5 million pieces in Q1, rising 5.13% year-on-year.
Guangdong Dynavolt Power Technology was the main contributor, whose battery exports surged 66.46% in March. And batteries were mainly exported to India, US and Bangladesh, respectively growing 35.28%, 39.31% and 260.71%, all on the monthly basis.
