TAIPEI (Scrap Register): Taiwan steel scrap imports tumbled by 51% to 400,550 metric tons during January to February, as compared to 816,579 tons a year early, as per the latest figures released by the ministry.
However, Taiwan steel scrap imports plummeted nearly by 38% year-on-year to 210,294 tons during February this year and up 10.5% compared to 190,256 tons in January.
Taiwan imported 107,532 tons of steel scrap from Japan, 67,052 tons of scrap from United States and 7,809 tons of scrap from Hong Kong during February.
