Turkey takes more than half of Russian Ferrous Scrap exports in February

Turkey took more than half of Russian ferrous scrap export during February this year.

MOSCOW (Scrap Register): Turkey took more than half of Russian ferrous scrap export during February this year.  

According to official data, Russia exported 214,000 metric tons of  ferrous scrap to Turkey during February this year, an increase of 37.7%  year-on-year. Turkey which accounted nearly 52% of Russia's total ferrous scrap  exports.

Russia's total ferrous scrap exports rose further to 418,000  tons during February, an increase of 8.3% as compared to 386,000 tons a year  early and shot up 235% from 178,000 tons in January.

Russia exported 596,000 tons of ferrous  scrap during the first two months of this year. Russia’s average monthly scrap  exports amounted to 298,000 tons. However, Russia's total ferrous scrap exports  are expected to reach 3.6 million tons during the year 2016.
