ALBANY (Scrap Monster): A fire broke out at the Schnitzer recycling yard in Everett Friday afternoon, Everett fire officials said.
Crews are still out fighting the fire, which started before 2 p.m. at the yard on Rover Street, a fire department dispatcher said.
The cause of the blaze, which generated smoke that could be seen for miles, is currently unknown.
The Schnitzer plant includes a metal recycling yard and offices.
