United States took nearly 90% to Mexican steel scrap exports during last year.

NEW YORK (Scrap Register): United States took nearly 90% to Mexican steel scrap exports during last year.

As per the latest trade data released by the Mexican government, Mexico exported 409,000 tons of steel scrap to United States during 2015, a drop of 10% compared to 455,000 tons of scrap steel a year early.

However, the total steel exports volume from Mexico reached its lowest level since 2005 and marked a decline for the fourth consecutive year in a raw.

Mexico's total steel scrap exports declined drastically nearly by 35% year-on-year to 459,000 tons during last year, as compared to 701,000 tons in 2014, and registered fourth straight year of decline.
