SHANGHAI, Apr. 7 (SMM) – China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 3rd list of companies meeting automotive battery industry entry requirements on April 6, SMM reports.
A total of eight Chinese battery producers were included in the list. They are Tianjin Jiewei Power Industry Co., Shenzhen BAK Battery Co., Shanxi Zhongdao Energy Co., Henan Xintaihang Power Co., Zhejiang Tianneng Energy Technology Co., Dongguan Maike New Energy Co., Phylion Battery Co. and Shandong Wina Green Power Technology Co.
Zhejiang Tianneng Energy Technology Co. and Henan Xintaihang Power Co. produce lithium and lead-acid batteries. Other six firms are all lithium battery producers.
Tianneng group achieved 556 million yuan ($85.79 million) in business revenues from lithium batteries in 2015, a surge of 209%. Lithium battery capacity at the company should be expanded to 2.25 GWh in 2016.
