Turkey Scrap imports from US up during Jan-Feb

ANKARA (Scrap Register): Turkey's scrap imports from United States advanced by 8% year-on-year to 521,000 million metric tons during the first two months of this year, as per the latest figures from the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).

However, Turkey has imported 2.3 million metric tons of scrap during the first two months of this year, a sharp fall of 8.6% year-on-year. 

Turkey scrap imports from EU countries also plummeted by 21.8% to 1.3 million metric tons during the period.
