SHANGHAI, Mar. 31 (SMM) – Lead-acid battery imports in China were 464,600 pieces in February, a month-on-month fall of 22.10% and a year-on-year drop of 21.70%, Customs reported.

Domestic enterprises halted operation for 2016 Chinese New Year holiday, waning demand for batteries. Delay in construction period of base station also dragged down demand for backup batteries during the holiday.

China accumulatively imported 1.06 million pieces of lead-acid batteries during January-February, a drop of 15.58% year-on-year.
