77% Chinese Copper Wire Rod Plants See Big Rise in Orders in March

The latest SMM survey of 19 Chinese copper wire rod producers representing 4.28 million-tpy in capacity finds about 77% of them expect orders to rise drastically in March.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 28 (SMM) - The latest SMM survey of 19 Chinese copper wire rod producers, representing 4.28 million-tpy in capacity, finds about 77% of them expect orders to rise drastically MoM in March due to low operating rates in February and restarts in March.

Some 6% see orders fall in March, while 17% say their orders will remain flat at February’s levels.
