South Korea imports 76% Ferrous Scrap from Japan in February

South Korea has imported its 76% of ferrous scrap from Japan during the month of February this year, as per the latest official data.

SEOUL (Scrap Register): South  Korea has imported its 76% of ferrous scrap from Japan during the month of  February this year, as per the latest official data.

South Korea has  imported 278,000 tons of ferrous scrap from Japan during February, accounting  76.3% of nation's total imports. The scrap imports from Japan were up by 13.8%  year-on-year during the month.

However, it is the fourth consecutive  month that South Korea's steel scrap imports have totaled below 400,000 tons in  February.

Country has imported only 364,000 tons of ferrous scrap during  February. The imports were down sharply by 21.1% year-on-year and inched up when  matched with the previous month.
