First Copper Concentrate Shipment from Las Bambas Mine Arrives in China

First copper concentrate shipment from Peru’s Las Bambas copper mines has just arrived in China, xinhuanet reported.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 21 (SMM) – First copper concentrate shipment from Peru’s Las Bambas copper mines has just arrived in China, xinhuanet reported.

This batch of copper concentrate, whose buyer is Jiangxi Copper Corporation (JCC) and totals 11,330 tonnes, contains as much as 48.5% of copper and 293 grams of silver per tonne. 

The mine will provide sizable and stable sources of copper resources to China in the long term, an executive from JCC told xinhuanet.
