Base Metals to Extend Gains, SMM Says

Base metal prices on the SHFE are expected to keep rising on Friday, Shanghai Metals Market predicts.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 18 (SMM) – Base metal prices on the SHFE are expected to keep rising on Friday, Shanghai Metals Market predicts. 

“Price gains on the base metal market are expected to be continuing today, as US Fed’s dovish comments cheer up the market,” SMM says. 

Key Macroeconomic Indicators for Base Metal Prices (2016-3-18)

Copper: 37,800-38,400 yuan per tonne

Aluminum: 11,370-11,500 yuan per tonne

Lead: 13,630-13,780 yuan per tonne

Zinc: 14,150-14,600 yuan per tonne

Tin: 111,000-113,000 yuan per tonne

Nickel: 69,000-71,000 yuan per tonne
