Scrap Gold, Silver and Platinum prices drop further 16th Mar, 2016

The daily scrap gold, silver and platinum prices declined on 16th March, 2016.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold and silver prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked declined further Wednesday, 16th March, 2016 on the ScrapMonster Price Index. Platinum scrap prices too slumped.

In the Hallmarked category, the 14 carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 0.28 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap inched lower by $ 0.36 and $ 0.44 per Oz respectively.9 carat gold scrap also went lower by $ 0.18 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap saw cut of $ 5.10 per Oz to reach $ 697.04 per Oz. Silver scrap prices too closed slightly on the lower side at $12.58 per Oz, edging lower by $ 0.03 per Oz.

In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14 carat gold scrap prices edged lower by $ 0.26 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap were down $ 0.35 and $ 0.42 per Oz respectively. 9 carat gold scrap also was down $ 0.17 per Oz. Platinum scrap prices fell by $ 5.10 per Oz. Meantime, Non-hallmarked silver scrap prices witnessed a fall of $ 0.02 per Oz.

China's Auto Sales Drop 5.1% in August, NEV Sales Surge 17.8% YoY, Exports Up 65.3%
CAAM data shows that in August, China's auto sales were 2.712 million units, down 5.1% YoY. Among them, NEV performance was impressive, with sales reaching 1.643 million units, up 17.8% YoY, accounting for 60.6% of total new vehicle sales. In terms of exports, auto exports in August were 1.01 million units, up 65.3% YoY; NEV exports were 526,000 units, up 1.3x YoY.
