70% Chinese Copper Tube/Pipe Producers See Orders Rise in March
Mar 14, 2016 14:30The latest SMM survey of 20 Chinese tube/pipe producers representing 1.50 million-tpy in capacity shows about 70% Chinese copper tube/pipe producers see orders rise in March.
SHANGHAI, Mar. 14 (SMM) - The latest SMM survey of 20 Chinese tube/pipe producers representing 1.50 million-tpy in capacity shows about 70% of them see orders rise in March, citing the upcoming boom season for copper.
About 20% expect orders to fall, while 10% expect orders to remain stable.
SMM also noticed that orders at medium and large producers are better than those at small ones.
The average operating rate at those surveyed is expected to be 81.52% in March, up significantly MoM but down 8.13 percentage points YoY.
“Several large air-conditioner producers reported weaker orders compared with the same period of 2015.” said one SMM analyst.
