SHFE Nickel Ends Slightly Higher (Mar. 11, 2016)

SHFE 1605 nickel started at RMB 69,100/mt overnight.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 11 (SMM) – SHFE 1605 nickel started at RMB 69,100/mt overnight and once sank to RMB 68,510/mt before returning to gains due to the ECB’s stimulus expanding , to end at RMB 69,500/mt.

SHFE nickel started at RMB 69,150/mt on Friday and closed the day at RMB 69,450/mt, edging up 0.75%. Trading volumes fell 412,000 to 817,000 lots and positions dropped 11,020 to 399,000.

SHFE 1605 nickel will likely bounce back this evening.

Sluggish Transactions in Domestic Secondary Crude Lead Market, Prices at 15,250-15,400 Yuan/mt

The domestic secondary crude lead market experienced sluggish transactions. As of February 6, 2026, the ex-factory tax-exclusive offers for domestic secondary crude lead stood at 15,250-15,400 yuan/mt. Downstream refined lead and alloy smelters gradually entered the holiday period, showing weak stockpiling willingness. Overseas lead ingot suppliers basically halted transactions with China due to poor consumption in the Chinese market, with only some previously concluded shipments maintaining normal in-transit transportation. The trading atmosphere in the secondary crude lead market will continue to weaken next week.
