SHFE 1605 copper started at RMB 37,110元/mt overnight and once sank to RMB 37,020/mt before closing at RMB 37,380/mt.
SHANGHAI, Mar. 4 (SMM) – SHFE 1605 copper started at RMB 37,110元/mt overnight and once sank to RMB 37,020/mt before closing at RMB 37,380/mt, a rise of RMB 410/mt.
SHFE copper opened at RMB 37,400/mt on Friday and then climbed to RMB 37,810/mt, supported by rise in ferrous metals prices. The red metal later fell to RMB 37,570/mt, to end at RMB 37,950/mt, up RMB 980/mt or 2.65%. Trading volumes hit 1.15 million lots and positions reduced 10,900 to 752,200.
