SHFE Copper Grows 1.56% (Mar. 3, 2016)

SHFE 1605 copper started at RMB 36,830/mt overnight and climbed to RMB 37,090/mt. The contract then narrowly moved around RMB 36,950/mt.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 3 (SMM) – SHFE 1605 copper started at RMB 36,830/mt overnight and climbed to RMB 37,090/mt. The contract then narrowly moved around RMB 36,950/mt before ending at RMB 36,900/mt, up RMB 470/mt.

SHFE copper opened Thursday trading session at RMB 37,040/mt and then went higher to RMB 37,150/mt. In the afternoon business, the red metal sank to RMB 36,800/mt and closed at RMB 37,000/mt, gaining RMB 570/mt or 1.56%. Positions reduced 29,582 to 763,1oo with trading volumes at 897,600 lots.
