SHFE 1605 nickel started at RMB 69,210/mt overnight and climbed to RMB 69,520/mt. Later the contract fell back before ending at RMB 68,970/mt.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 3 (SMM) – SHFE 1605 nickel started at RMB 69,210/mt overnight and climbed to RMB 69,520/mt. Later the contract fell back before ending at RMB 68,970/mt.

SHFE nickel opened at RMB 69,040/mt on Thursday and extended gains before dropping back with shorts gathering strength, to close at RMB 69,400/mt, up 0.65%. Trading volumes fell 95,072 to 689,000 lots while positions reduced 10,784 to 421,000.
