Combined inventories in Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong added 7,300 to 433,700 tonnes this past week.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 26 (SMM) - Combined zinc inventories in Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong added 7,300 to 433,700 tonnes this past week.

The growth is due to normal shipments from zinc smelters and soft demand, said an SMM zinc analyst.

“Total inventories in the three regions should stabilize next week,” said the analyst. Purchases will grow as downstream producers restart production, while arriving shipments from zinc smelters will be at normal levels.
