SHANGHAI, Feb. 26 (SMM) – TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate drop 50 yuan per tonne (Pb content) MoM to 2,550-2,750 yuan per tonne (Pb content) for March, SMM quotes on February 25.
TCs for imported materials (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000 g) are offered at $ 130-150 per dry metric tonne in March, a decline of $ 5 per dry metric tonne month-on-month.
TCs for domestic concentrate stabilized at 2,500-2,800 yuan per tonne (Pb content) this week. And those for imported concentrate (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000 g) were mainly at $ 140-160 per dry metric tonne with some offers as high as $ 170-180 per dry metric tonne.
Henan-based lead producers lowered TCs and producers in other regions also planned to cut TCs. But most smelters left TCs unchanged.
Profits for imported concentrate widened 460 yuan per tonne (Pb content) to 710 yuan per tonne (Pb content) above domestic concentrate. Lead smelters have not started purchase this week despite some offers as low as $ 130 per dry metric tonne.
