TAIPEI (Scrap Register): Prices for containerized Taiwanese imports of HMS # 1&2 80:20 continued to remain stable week-on-week during the week ended February 19, as per the latest figures from The Steel Index.

According to TSI, prices for containerized Taiwanese imports of HMS #1&2 80:20 remained flat at $160 a ton CFR Taiwanese port during the week.

Prices for ISRI grade scrap remain at the same level as prior to the Lunar New Year, with suppliers not willing to lower their offers.

South Korean mills were heard to conclude three bulk shipments with a total tonnage of over 100,000 tons, which would go some way to explaining why scrap suppliers had no reason to lower their offers to Taiwan.
