Guangxi Finds Much New Zinc and Lead Resources during China 12th Five-Year Plan Period

Guangxi province found 5.62 million tonnes of zinc and lead reserves during China’s 12th Five-Year Plan period.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 19 (SMM) - Guangxi province found 5.62 million tonnes of zinc and lead reserves during China’s 12th Five-Year Plan period, with new proven mineral reserves over 2.14 billion tonnes in the same period.

The province discovered 128 large and medium mining areas, with 56 large ones and 72 medium ones. 348 small mining areas were also discovered.

There were 2,731 mineral resources exploration projects (including some previous projects) in this period, up 25% from 2185 in the 11th Five-Year Plan period.
