Prices for domestic iron concentrate rose in parts of China this past week, Shanghai Metals Market reports.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 6 (SMM) – Prices for domestic iron concentrate rose in parts of China this past week, Shanghai Metals Market reports.

SMM attributes the rise mainly to tight supply from pre-holiday stockpiling and transportation disruption from weather and logistics factors.

"Price gains are expected to continue after the 2016 Chinese New Year holiday, but any gains will be small," SMM iron ore analyst says.
