Nickel ore inventories at China’s major ports were continuing falling last week, but at a slower pace, Shanghai Metals Market reports.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 6 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories at China’s major ports were continuing falling last week, but at a slower pace, Shanghai Metals Market reports.

Nickel ore inventories at six major Chinese ports were 8.56 million tonnes last week, down 80,000 tonnes on a weekly basis, according to SMM data.

"Trading was extremely low during the last trading day before Chinese New Year holiday, with few pick-ups reported, explaining the small drop in ore inventories," SMM nickel analyst points out.
