SHANGHAI, Feb. 3 (SMM) - Hunan Baoshan Nonferrous Metals & Minerals Co. plans to put its expanded zinc and lead ore mining and dressing capacity into production in late 2016.
The build-out capacity grow the company’s zinc and lead ore mining and dressing capacity from 1,000 tonne per day to 2,500 tonne per day.
The mine produced 24,000 tonnes of lead and zinc ore (metal content) in 2015, and has high profit thanks to the 12% grade, despite low lead and zinc prices.
