China Secondary Lead Trading to Remain Sloppy on Holiday Halts

Suspensions at secondary lead producers and logistics companies due to upcoming Chinese New Year holiday in 2016 will leave secondary lead trading very muted in the near term.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 31 (SMM) - Suspensions at secondary lead producers and logistics companies due to upcoming Chinese New Year holiday in 2016 will leave secondary lead trading very muted in the near term.

SMM understands large domestic secondary lead producers including Tianjin Toho Lead Recycling and Baoding Gang’an Environmental Protection Technology Co., have shut down for the holiday. Over 70% small irregular producers also halted production.

Some logistics companies have also closed since January 20.
