Base metals prices are expected to diverge today. Investors will remain cautious as the Fed will hold its rate-setting meeting today.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 26 (SMM) – Base metals prices are expected to diverge today. Investors will remain cautious as the Fed will hold its rate-setting meeting today.

Home price index for 20 large cities in the US in November is expected to rise further. US existing home sales in November fell over 10%, the largest decline since July 2010, as growth in home prices was much faster than salaries.

Conference Board’s CCI in January is expected to improve as January IBD CCI topped December’s and since University of Michigan’s CCI also climbed to a 7-month high. Richmond Fed’s manufacturing index in January is not promising.
