India containerized shredded scrap import prices slightly rise

India containerized shredded scrap import prices slightly up during the week ended January 15, while Indian plastic scrap prices on Scrap Register Price Index showed a mixed trend.

MUMBAI (Scrap Register): India  containerized shredded scrap import prices slightly up during the week ended  January 15, while Indian plastic scrap prices on Scrap Register Price Index  showed a mixed trend.

According to TSI, containerized shredded index for  Indian imports gained by $1 a ton from the end of last week to finish at $206 a  ton CFR Nhava Sheva port this week.

The  limited trade that was heard completed was done at slightly higher levels than  last week, although it would appear buyers have pulled back from the market  somewhat in recent days.

Sellers reported less buying interest and  enquiries as traders took a wait and see approach.

The major plastic  scrap commodities showed mixed trend on Scrap Register Price Index during the  week.

The plastic scrap commodities like API, C.P.W and HD Moulding  (Colour) showed a negative trend during the week, while ABS(bayr), Acrylic, HD  Blowing, LLDP Blowing, PVC pest grade and PVC resin desi showed an up  trend.
