MMG delivered its first shipload of 10,000 mt copper concentrate to China from its Las Bambas copper mine in Peru on January 18, 2016, SMM understands.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 25 (SMM) - MMG delivered its first shipload of 10,000 mt copper concentrate to China from its Las Bambas copper mine in Peru on January 18, 2016, SMM understands.

This shipload of copper concentrate was bought by Jiangxi Copper at TCs of $97.35/mt.

The Las Bambas copper mine’s service life is expected to be 20 years, and it will produce 400,000-tpy of copper concentrate (Cu content) in the first five year after coming online.
