SHANGHAI, Jan. 22 (SMM) - Teck Resources Limited recently set term TCs of zinc concentrate at $175 per dry metric tonne (DMT) in 2016 with European zinc smelters, basing on benchmark LME zinc price of $1,500 per tonne, SMM understands.

TCs of imported zinc concentrate in China are mostly $140-150 per dry metric tonne (DMT) at present, with the low-end for goods for future delivery of $120-130. Trading was sluggish due to unstable yuan’s exchange rate and nearing of Chinese New Year holiday.

Term TCs of zinc concentrate are expected to be settled at $180-200 per dry metric tonne (DMT) in 2016 between Teck Resources Limited and Korea Zinc, SMM says.
